A Tennessee cat lawyer pleaded guilty to killing his pet cat.
James Thomas of Nashville, Tenn., pleaded guilty Thursday to first-degree murder in the Oct. 13, 2018, killing of his two cats, Mimi and Roxy.
Thomas told authorities he killed the animals as punishment for being aggressive, and the cats died from natural causes.
Mimi and two other cats were found dead Oct. 15 in a home on Northside Drive in Nashville.
They were found in a closet and the garage, police said.
Thomas told investigators he shot them to punish them for being too aggressive.
Thomas admitted to investigators that he was under the influence of alcohol, which he told investigators was a contributing factor to the killing, but did not specify a motive.
The other two cats were in the house when they were killed, according to a probable cause affidavit.
