The president of Trump’s legal team, Michael Cohen, and his son Michael Cohen, have been indicted on multiple charges in a corruption investigation, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Manhattan.
The indictment unsealed Monday charges the sons with conspiracy to commit bribery, bribery, embezzlement and embezonement, and with false statements to the Federal Election Commission, according with the statement.
The brothers have denied any wrongdoing, the statement said.
The elder Cohen is also charged with obstruction of justice and conspiracy to obstruct justice.
Cohen, 51, is the president of the Trump Organization.
His brother Michael Cohen is a partner at the law firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz.
Neither Cohen nor his brother were in court for the indictment.
